Holy Week!

Transfers!!! Well, these are always so so bitter-sweet. Mostly bitter, but you get the nice aftertaste in a couple of days. I am now in the south of Quito and am working with Sister Adams! She is very sweet and I am excited to spend time in this area with her. I left Ambato sad to leave members and investigators, but glad to know that the ward will continue to progress there.

This week is Holy Week! We are focusing a lot of our efforts on using the initiative Prince of Peace and the video is wonderful! I wish more people had access to the internet so that I could share it more often, but every time I see it I am reminded of the real and incredible peace we can feel when we accept Christ and use his Atonement in our lives.
This week we shared some peace to a family that has been suffering. One of our appointments fell through on Friday and we thought to go visit a certain family in the ward. The wife is not a member and the kids are less actives. The father had died recently and we had been trying to visit them ever since. However, Friday was different. We knocked on the door and soon realized that there was a small family get-together. The mom let us in and told us that it was the 1 month anniversary of his death. Here they usually do a sort of after-funeral with the family to mourn the death of a loved one. We taught her about the peace that comes from living the gospel and she told us that she knows we were sent to her home that day. I also know that we were guided there and that Jesus Christ is relieving the burden and sorrow of this new widow. I hope that we all will remember those who are in need of peace and give them the gift of the knowledge of the Atonement.
