Another dog bites the (food right out of my comps hand)

Fun week! It was sunny for a couple of days, and then came the buckets. It’s alright though because we have learned to stop and smell the flowers. In one particular instance, I was with Hermana Rolfson and Hermana Pàjaro on exchanges and after a long day of rain our appointment fell through and we started contacting people. We walked by one house with a huge Angels Trumpet tree and all three of us commented at the same time how delicious it smelled. Anyway, we took a few moments to enjoy the pleasantness and then decided to knock on the door. Lo and behold the family let us in! They are a sweet family of 6 with kids from 12-23 years old. It was such a blessing to be able to spread the gospel to another family thanks to a few moments of smelling the “roses.”

Another funny story which explains the title of the email: We were invited by a couple of ward members to a return missionary party. She had just gotten home from Colombia and her mom wanted to put together some sort of get-together. Anyway, we felt like we should go to support, so we went in for about 15 minutes and left with 3 plates of food (pork meat, potatoes, lettuce, and peanut sauce) We had to race home so we walked quickly to where we could find a taxi. As we were going up a few dogs started to surround us and I raised up the plate a bit higher and we kept going. Within seconds my (shortest) companion shrieks and as I looked back the dog was walking away with a full dinner in his mouth-very satisfied with his work. It was hilarious, and also motivated us to run faster so that it didn’t happen again. haha. gotta love street dogs.
Other than that, I am doing fantastic and learning lots every day. I feel every single one of the prayers that are made in my behalf. Thank you!

Love, Hermana Wyson
